Hey Theatre Fam,
For our next Theatre Club outing, we’re heading to Barbican Theatre to see TOM AT THE FARM by amazing Brazilian theatre company AB Produções on 15 October at 7.45pm (we usually start gathering at 6.50pm).
Trust me when I say, this is going to be really good. It's been touring at international festivals across Europe with incredible acclaim.
The Barbican has been incredibly kind in supporting our Theatre Club by reserving seats for us and offering them for FREE. How amazing is that?!
Free tickets are like gold, and I really don’t want any to go to waste, so please only book if you know you can attend.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a £5 refundable deposit, plus a small booking fee. Your deposit will be returned after you attend, or you can choose to donate it to support the huge amount of work involved in organising the Theatre Club.
‼️Theatre Club events tend to sell out really quickly, so if you’d like to join us, I’d recommend booking your ticket as soon as you can 🤗
And if you find it’s already sold out, don’t worry. Please join the waiting list! Cancellations do happen, and I may also be able to get hold of a few extra tickets.
ABOUT THE SHOW:

Tom comes to mourn his boyfriend. He is expected to pretend they were friends. Arriving at the family farm for the funeral, he discovers that his partner’s mother never knew her son was gay.
The brother makes clear that telling her is forbidden. Brazilian company AB Produções stages this story on mud-covered ground, where every movement carries the possibility of slipping. Threats, attraction and family loyalties pull Tom deeper into a household built on concealment.
A gripping confrontation with homophobia, patriarchal power and the desperate need to belong, even somewhere that demands you erase who you are.

You can also add a small donation at checkout if you’d like to support the project and the work behind it. That would be really appreciated 💖
‼️Limited tickets are available with this special offer. First come, first served — so book ASAP to avoid disappointment ‼️
You’ll book here, and then I’ll send you the details of the meet-up point. You’ll collect your ticket on the day. Tickets are non-refundable.
And as always, Theatre Club is not about being an expert, knowing the “right” thing to say, or arriving with a polished opinion. It’s about meeting people, making new friends, and experiencing theatre and dance together in an informal, friendly, completely unpretentious way.
Come for the show, stay for a chat after if you fancy. Everyone is welcome.
🚨If you can't make it on on Thursday 15 October, you can use my exclusive promo code POT10 at checkout to get £10 tickets on all performances and seats.
