BOO! Blackney Wick Film Club is back for the fourth edition of our residency at @livingwomb.fka.alghasplantroom. It’s been wonderful to see more and more of you coming and we can’t wait to host you all again!
This edition, we’re getting a little spooky with a frightening cult classic horror picked for your viewing delight! Horror provides a fascinating lens for exploring our deepest cultural anxieties. In a world where the black body is already subjected to so much real life horror, how does this reflect in the stories that we create? Bearing this in mind, I have picked something on the lighter side! Think ghoulish but fun moral tales!
This is going to be a double screening. a documentary and film. All will be revealed on the night.
Trigger Warnings
This film contains themes of abuse, and violence.
Are you a filmmaker or an artist? Know one? Have any shorts that match the theme?
Send it through ~ we’d love to show it before the main screenings!
