Join the Queer Filmmakers Network for an evening of drinks and networking at Leeds International Film Festival 2026 on Thursday 5th November.
Whether you're a writer, actor, programmer, or working in any other corner of the film and TV industry, this is a relaxed space to meet fellow LGBTQIA+ filmmakers, share what you're working on, and discuss all the great films you've seen at LIFF so far!
This time our venue is Hyde Park Book Club - a multi-purpose music & arts venue in the heart of Leeds' student district. It's just around the corner from the Hyde Park Picture House, which will be showing the second Leeds Queer Short Film programme at 6.30pm - why not go see them before coming along to mingle with the filmmakers?
The event starts at 8pm in the main bar/stage area of HPBC. Alongside relaxed networking and making connections, we'll also be hosting an open mic for filmmakers to pitch themselves and/or projects for potential collaborators - sign up before 8.30pm to secure yourself a slot.
All are welcome - come and say hello!
Access info
Access to Hyde Park Book Club is via the storefront entrance, which includes step free access at ground level.
There are accessible ground floor toilets in the venue.
Please note that we will be sharing part of the bar space with the general public and as such volume levels may get quite loud, though we will be asking the venue to turn down any music to a comfortable level for making conversation.
More access info available on HPBC's website. If you have additional access needs or questions, please contact us or the venue.
