Why brown men should never come out... 👀
Hold up. Hear me out.
...not until it's on YOUR terms, in YOUR time, and with a plan in your back pocket. 😉
If your heart started beating a little faster reading that, this one's for you. 💛
We know how it goes. The aunties asking when you're getting married. The "what will people say?!" playing on a loop in your head. For so many of us, it feels like we have to choose between being queer and being part of our family and our culture.
BUT... we don't. We are both.
Let's be really clear: this is NOT a workshop where you come out at the end. 😅 Nobody is pushing anybody out of any closet. It's two hours to see what coming out COULD look like for you, at your pace, with people who just... get it.
✨ By the end, you'll have:
🔹 Your own action plan, written down and out of your head: who you might tell, what you might say, and when
🔹 A backup plan, so you know exactly what to do if it doesn't go the way you hoped
🔹 Real answers ready for the questions and pushback that so often come up
🔹 A feel for the reactions you might get, and why they're not always what they first seem
🔹 Simple ways to stop fear calling all the shots
🔹 And honestly? More confidence, and the feeling that you're not doing this on your own
🙋🏽♂️ This is for you if...
🔹 You're not out, and want to start thinking about it
🔹 You're out to some people but not others (hello, out at work but not at home 👋🏽)
🔹 You're out, but it's still hard with family, or larger family
I still remember my dad asking me "Are you gay?" in the car on the way to the shops. I said no. By the end of the journey, I'd said yes. 😅 It took my family about a year, and back then I never thought I'd be fully out. I'd love to help you see what that road could look like for you.
🤔 "But what if..."
🔹 I'm not ready to come out? Perfect. You don't have to be, and you don't have to decide anything on the day.
🔹 I don't want to be seen? Cameras off is totally fine. Use a nickname, stay on mute and join in with reactions. No photos, and what's shared stays in the room.
🔹 I'm already out? It's still for you. We never really stop coming out: new job, new friends, the wider family...
🔹 Money's tight? We've got supported places for exactly that.
Coming out doesn't have to be loud. It has to be true. 💛
🔹 When: Sunday 15th November 2026, 2pm to 4pm UK time (7:30pm in India, 9am US East Coast)
🔹 Where: Live on Zoom
🔹 Early bird tickets: until Sunday 1st November
💛 Supported places: if money's tight right now, book a supported place. No questions asked, nothing to prove.
