💌 Love Poetry for a Christmas Gift Workshop 🎄
🗓 Tuesday 24th November
⏰ 7:00-9:30pm
📍 The Corset Club, Glasgow
Join us for a cosy evening of poetry, crafting and very sapphic Christmas gift-making.
The workshop will be led by Fiona Jane, @weepeachpoetry, a Glasgow-based poet and member of our community whose work often focuses on sapphic experience.
Together, we’ll explore writing love poetry for the beloved lesbian in your life, whether that’s your partner, your best friend, your sister, or Chappell Roan.
You’ll have time to develop your poem, share ideas if you want to, and then turn it into something gift-ready with a small craft session afterwards. We’ll provide lovely paper and some simple materials so you can write out your finished piece and leave with something personal to give at Christmas.
No poetry experience needed, and there’s no pressure to share your work with the group.
Expect:
- A relaxed guided poetry workshop with Fiona
- Prompts and support to help you get started
- Time to write your own love poem
- A small craft session afterwards
- Nice paper and materials to make your poem gift-ready
- Plenty of Christmas atmosphere and time to chat
The Sapphic Space is a Community Interest Company (CIC), meaning any money made goes back into the community through events, artists, and growing spaces like this.
