Introducing Queer School: 4 evenings of creative support, education and mentorship with award winning cabaret-theater maker Xnthony. Queer School a series of jam packed workshops developed for queer artists looking to develop their creative output, skillz and intuition.
Queer School aims to support, develop and mentor London based queer artists who are starting out or trying to reset their creative and professional output in a safe and supportive environment. Queer School is for queer peeps who need a bit of nurturing, a bit of thinking space and some explaining on what the heck you need do to get ahead in this business.
During the workshops we’ll spend time talking about you, what you want to do and how you’re gonna get there. We’ll look at the boring but necessary admin a queerdo needs to do to keep afloat plus useful professional and personal strategies to keep us creative and sane. We’ll take a look at funding applications, budgeting and, most importantly, useful ways to get your ideas out into the world, crystal queer.
Xnthony may also offer support by signposting participants to queer venues and programmers for you to contact, and where appropriate make introductions.

Quotes from previous Queer School alumni:
‘Xnthony is an excellent facilitator, helping you to focus your creativity into a more structured business model. He generously shared so much of his wealth of experience with the group including past project budgets and applications which really helps to clearly explain the intricacies of being a professional performing artist and which might feel intimidating without his useful guidance.’
‘A great craic experience focused on inclusivity and the conscientious development of queer artists’.
