First Aid Course

We are running a Sports First Aid course (and exam).

In this course, you'll learn how to identify and deal with injuries and conditions that are common to sporting activities. This course is ideal for coaches in all types of sport.

Shorinji Kempo always seek to defend ourselves without causing permanent damage to our opponent - this is a key part of our martial art. However, there are still many reasons to learn First Aid. From treating sprains and stains to resuscitation, this course will help you feel secure in your ability to provide First Aid.

On this course, you will learn:

Communication and casualty care
Resuscitation
Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
Treatment of: asthma, choking, chest pains, sprains and severe bleeding

The course is provided by NMA Training and Coaching Providers who we have been working with for the last three years. Our trainer Gary has a keen interest in martial arts. He trains many martial arts centres (including judo, karate, MMA, etc) making him the ideal person to provide us with training. More information

We have 12 places available and BSKF will cover the cost of one representative per dojo to attend.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a link to your certificate which is recognised by the BSKF and recommended for all BSKF affiliated instructors.
