G(end)er Moods: Collaging with G(end)er Swap
3 July: 18.00-19.00 BST
What does your gender look like and feel like to you? Come join G(end)er Swap to explore your gender identity + expression by creating a G(end)er Mood board. This workshop inspires you to get creative with your gender and to map out all your gender feels through a one of a kind collage making adventure.
Materials
* You do not need everything from this list. Collect whichever different textures/images/items/fabrics/paints etc you want to collage with. Experiment with whatever you have around the house!
Magazines
Old clothes/tablecloths/fabric pieces
Stickers/glitter/nail polish
Any art supplies: pipe cleaners, googly eyes, construction paper, popsicle sticks, stamps
Plastic bags/labels/household items
Packages from sweets/snacks
Paints/felt tip pens/crayons/pencil crayons/paint brushes.
*Things you will need.
Glue: glue stick/liquid glue and/or hot glue gun or blue tack
A large piece of cardboard to create your collage on. You can also use paper.

About G(end)er Swap
G(end)er Swap is a UK based LGBTIQ+ clothing outreach initiative and community interest company that supports gender non-conforming individuals to access clothes and community. They are a charitable organization that creates safe(r) spaces for the queer community to access clothes through community pop-ups, bespoke workshops and exhibitions.

This workshop will take place online via Zoom. To attend, you will need access to a laptop or a computer capable of receiving audio and video over a stable internet connection. You do not need to download Zoom to participate, but you will need to click on the Zoom link provided to you via email from Outsavvy before the session to attend.

Må bra? is a series of free online sessions focusing on sharing and creating tools to help us maintain a sense of wellbeing in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Each session will be led by a different LGBTQIA+ artist who will be sharing their own take on the subject. Featuring Fredde Lanka, Soofiya, Amy Pennington, Dex Grodner, Lateisha Davine Lovelace-Hanson and G(end)er Swap.

About Desperate Living C-19
Desperate Living is a new six–month engagement programme which aims to support LGBTQ+ people during and after COVID-19, providing support for artists as well as opportunities for people to engage with arts and culture in direct response to their experiences.
Studio Voltaire have commissioned artists Sunil Gupta, Juliet Jacques, Fredde Lanka, Conal McStravick, Raju Rage with the right lube and further artists to be announced to realise this programme.
