SemiColon presents Visible goes Digital, an online adaption of their semi-regular live drag show, Visible. Providing a space for drag styles and/or performers who are under represented in our drag community. Specifically aiming to give platform to disabled, trans, POC and plus sized performers.
In this special digital edition, we have performances by: Amber Cadaverous, Yvy, Mr Saint Sinister, Vlad Von Kitsch, SemiColon and Foxie Adjuia (seen on Boulet Brother's Dragula season 1).
How does it work?
Tickets for the show are able to be purchased on a varied pay scale in order to be accessible to a wide range of people. The show is pre-recorded and will be fully captioned, unfortunately at this time we do not have a BSL interpreter or audio description available. On the day of the show (Sunday 13th September) or day of purchase if later , you will receive a private YouTube link to the show. You will then have until midnight on Tuesday 15th September to view the show by, before it is removed.
Accessibility: I have comprised a google doc of the running order with content warnings and artist's information. Here is the link - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G_sY-X9X6e6q3uk3B8_2Lf_U9v5XU9Uj4UM94OrUE7s/edit?usp=sharing
Raffle
Alongside the show, there will also be a raffle compiled of a range of prizes from predominately small businesses. It is £2 per raffle entry, with 50% going to performers and 50% going to charities BLAM UK and UK Black Pride! You must be based within the UK to enter. Raffle tickets are an add-on option and do not gain you entry to the show. The raffle winner(s) will be randomly drawn on Wednesday 16th September and the winner(s) will be contacted via email.
Donation
If you are outside the UK or want to donate but not interested in the raffle, there is an option to donate to BLAM UK and UK Black Pride underneath the various ticket options.
IMPORTANT! Please DO NOT share the private link for the show or download/make copies of the performances. All of these artists have worked very hard on creating these digital pieces and deserve to be paid for their labour, especially during these times where many of us have been without regular employment or any employment for the last 5 months.
