Tired of Tinder? Had it with Hornet? Ghosted on Grinder? You are not alone.
Cabaret performer Gareth Edward has rebooted his interactive bingo show about gay dating for the Two Brewers in Clapham. This is bingo like no other, where 75 balls represent 75 very bad dates. The show features original songs and hilarious rewrites of popular classics. The content has been updated during lockdown to address new challenges with sex and dating during the pandemic.
Gareth broke up with his boyfriend of thirteen years (unlucky for some) and found that the world of gay dating had changed radically. Part cabaret, part musical comedy and part bingo show, Gareth’s Dating Disasters charts his experiences on finding himself in a new world of Apps, speed dating, ghosting and dick pics.
Special guests include Emily Davis (“Wonderfully cheeky stage presence”, London Theatre Review), performing as Gareth’s dating secretary. He is also joined by mime artist Sam Reynolds (“Boylesque genius”, QX; “A delight to behold”, ScotsGay).
As well as comedy and music, audiences should come prepared for a bit of late-night flirting and the chance to text Gareth's secretary at any time during the show…
