A sticky, sexy, outrageous evening of music, dance, performance and butts, featuring performances, installations and visual art from MOUSE | Lucy McCormick | Lasana Shabazz | Oozing Gloop | The Fems | Ranulph Redlin | Gareth Cutter | DJ set from Mikey XXL (Douche Bag and Pink Glove) | Designer Butt Craft Stall | Special Guests + more surprises in store.
The closing party for London’s only pan-city queer arts festival, And What? Festival, HAUNTED BUTTS plunges audiences into the depths of their nether-most regions, taking them on a journey through sex, death and the afterlife.
Curated by artist Gareth Cutter, expect pop-up performances, visual art, a "designer butt" station and DJ sets from leading queer and alternative artists late into the night, including international performance artist and body anarchist, MOUSE, the ferocious triple-threat Lucy McCormick (Best Performer Award Winner, Dublin Fringe 2017), international actor and performance artist, Lasana Shabazz (Scottee’s Putting Words In Your Mouth), trans-aggressive tattooist and tarot reader, Oozing Gloop, bouffon clown drag-troupe The Fems, visual artist Ranulph Redlin, and music from DJ Mikey XCX (Shake Yes Dix / Douchebag / Pink Glove).
Taking the horror, fear and enjoyment that the butt, our most fundamental body part can inspire, and combining it with the excitement we derive from horror films and scaring ourselves, HAUNTED BUTTS is a night to celebrate that which unites us: the butt. Landing just a week before Halloween, it’s a night for the curious, the filthy, and the fearless, so expect a hair-raising evening of thrilling downstairs divination, demonic colonic possession and more.
