HOW TO CATCH A PIG
- and other stories -
a scratch night by liv wynter
Liv Wynter is proud to present some unfinished business, aided and abetted by DJs, Drag Kings and live music. Making their debut is drag king Duke Box, new band press.release, and Basura on the decks. There will be anarchy from UKs finest goths Rodent and Alicia Jane Turner, lairy provocations from Gutts, two tone magic from SQC, and a whole world of noise from Leather.Head. Seasoned professionals Well Hung Parliament, Grace Goslin, and Harry Gay will be holding down the fort with some level of expertise. Oh, and Liv Wynter will be there performing extracts from previously unseen work. Expect a rowdy line up, and extremely good beer and pies from our hosts Matchstick Piehouse.

Liv Wynter is a live artist and writer who has been performing internationally since 2015, making live art that centres around radical action, community, rage, and power. Their most recent work, ‘Rise of the Refrain’, posed the question what happens if a greek chorus forms a direct action group? It featured a deaf performer, a live band, creative captioning, and sold out over 3 nights. Their anarchist musical theatre debut, 'And So The Choir Gathers, Before It is Too Late' (ACE Funded), which focussed on the history of two tone and anti fascist skinhead culture sold out over 5 nights at The Bunker Theatre Nov 2019. Liv has recently completed Liv the Royal Court Scriptwriting course 2020/21 and was awarded Arts Council funding to further develop their creative practice. Their debut poetry collection, ‘Dont let it go to your head’, was released in 2019. Liv is currently working on music with their band, press.release.
Liv has gone on to cause chaos through both their personal practice and their commitment to antifascist, antisexist, and anticapitalist organising. Liv is a peer support coordinator at Hearts & Minds, and spent most of the pandemic doing support work at The Outside Project, an LGBTIQ+ homeless shelter. Liv is the host for time out award winning Queer House Party. Liv stands in solidarity with all groups organising against oppression. Quit your job, join a band, start a gang.
