Queer Craft is heading back to South London, this time to Make Mee Studio's pop-up studio in Lewisham!
Queer Craft socials are open to all LGBTQA+ who enjoy crafting in all its many forms! We will welcome anyone who identifies under the broad queer and trans umbrellas and has an interest in all things craft, whether you're dabbling for the first time or a big time crafter. The space will be closed to the public, open only for our community to take up space, to craft! Please bring your portable crafts projects, and if you need access to a sewing machine let us know - we have two sewing machines available for us to use!
We have reusable name and pronoun badges to help us skip introductions if we’re feeling a little nervous, and saves any pressure of having to remember the names of new people!
The space is found at Unit 21, Lewisham Centre, LONDON, SE13 7EP. “DISCOUNTLUGGAGESTORE” is the old shop name, opposite Greggs in Lewisham shopping centre. There will be a discrete poster outside and a human to welcome you and once in the space, we will close the shutters to the public. The tap water isn't drinkable, please bring refreshments (and snacks!)
The space is wheelchair accessible, however there are not gender neutral toilets, I'm afraid the only toilets are the shopping centre ones which are located out the back of the shopping centre. There is a disabled toilet.
Please note this event is starting a little earlier than other venues - We will meet at 6pm and get ready to leave at 8pm when the shopping centre closes. See you soon!
