Will You Be There Darling? (WYBTD?)
The friendly, inclusive and non-tribal social experience.
SOHO SOCIAL: Pride Pop-Up Shop + Soho Gay Bar Crawl @ Carnaby Street, Soho
Join us on Monday 27 June 2022 for the Will You Be There Darling? Pre-Pride Social where we take over Soho for a completely FREE Social Event.
The event is in two parts:
- 5:30 - 7:00 = WYBTD Social at the Pride in London Pop=Up Shop in Carnaby Street where we all get introduced to each other while soaking in the inclusive Pride ambience of this fabulous shop including official Pride in London clothing and merchandise.
- 7:00 - (very) late = Soho Gay Bar Crawl where we visit various welcoming and safe Soho venues which are inclusive for the entire LGBTQ+ community
Our evening will begin at the PRIDE IN LONDON POP-UP SHOP located at 15-17 Fouberts Place, Carnaby Street, W1F 7QB. We have reserved an exclusive area there for WYBTD Members where we will be able to mingle and socialize as usual. There will be a dedicated host there (Michael) making introductions so that everyone can socialise in a relaxed and easy-going environment
WYBTD will be taking part in the Pride In London Parade on Saturday 2 July so if you are tempted to join us then this is the perfect opportunity to come along and meet some of the other people participating or ask any questions at all.
Most people join our Meetup events alone so don't worry about not knowing anyone there when you arrive. The whole point of the WYBTD Meetup Group is exactly to meet new people and make new friends and your dedicated host, Michael, will be there to facilitate exactly that
After the shop closes at 7:00 we will head towards gay Soho to take advantage of DP Mondays (drink promotions?) at various gay venues where we can enjoy a wide range of house spirits and mixers or pints of beer at only £2.95! We will start at the Duke Of Wellington then work our way down Old Compton Street, stopping at Comptons, Admiral Duncan and the Ku Bar. We will end our Gay Soho Bar Crawl at Halfway to Heaven and the hardcore ones amongst us who are still standing then will head to Heaven. There we will dance the night away to the tunes of commercial pop, disco classics and queer anthems during Popcorn.
As always, the event's hosts will ensure there are no cliques and every single person is integrated as part of the group and introduced to everyone. The whole point of our meetup group is to interconnect gay men with each other so that we can all have fun together in a friendly approachable environment so do not hesitate to join us just because you will be on your own
Host: Michael R
The entire event will be fully hosted. Your friendly host, Michael R, is a veteran of more than 1,800 Meetup events making sure everyone is properly introduced and there are no cliques. - WhatsApp him directly on 07549228398 if you are coming alone (like most of our members) or if this is your first time with us so that he can look out for you and to make introductions.
This Meetup event is completely FREE to join and you can join us at any time and for as long as you want however we stronly encourage starting at the Pride in London Pop-Up Shop in Carnaby Street before 7:00 in order to facilitate introductions, especially if this is your first WYBTD Meetup.
GAY STAR NEWS article about our party: https://www.gaystarnews.com/article/will-you-darling-meetup-london/#gs.8k567s
A WYBTD? social event is a party night like no other; it is primarily a ‘social mixer’ where everyone integrates in a relaxed, easy-going environment.
All WYBTD Social Events are all-inclusive events where ALL are welcomed regardless of social background, income, colour, ethnicity, disability, HIV status, size, age, shape or even hairiness.
“None of us are equal until all of us are equal.”
We don’t believe in boxes, labels or tribes; as we’re all queer, one way or another, and are proud too!
We don’t care less if you are top, bottom, vers, bear, clean-cut, daddy, twink, trans, poz, geek, muscle-Mary, hunk, otter or whatever else... this is a Social Event for US ALL!
We don't believe in gender stereotypes (such as masc/femme) or slut-shaming or body-shaming. Heels are more than welcome :->
We are all 'good gays' some of whom are more shy or socially anxious than others - so we have dedicated hosts making sure everyone is introduced and not left out. Basically, a Social Event where everyone knows there’s a familiar face to smile with, chat with or ask for help or support.
