Date and timings

Every Tuesday in September in the basement of @latinohits2022. Next one 10.01.23

We’ll be at the venue taking payment from 7pm.

The never tried and beginners drop in class will be 7:30 - 8:30pm

And then the improvers drop in class from 8:30 - 9:30pm

From 9:30 - 10:00pm you will be able to practise what you have learnt with some free dancing. (teachers will be around to help you)

Spots will be first come first serve and we expect more people to want to join the beginner’s class so try to get there from 7pm.

Payment

The cost of 1 class is £7 which you can pay in cash or card on the night.

If you would like to try the beginner’s and then improver’s for the 2 classes it will be £12

We offer limited low income places for people that need, send us a dm or let us know on the day.

About the classes

In both classes you will be learning cross body salsa. You will be asked to pick whether you want to lead or follow. You don’t need to bring a dance partner as you will be dancing with the whole group.

The beginner’s class will cover the basic step, side step and the right hand turn. Depending on the level we may also cover things like the cross body turn.

In the improver’s class we will be covering different routines. For this level you will need to be able lead / follow a right turn, left turn, cross body turn and double travelling right turn. (If this doesn’t mean much to you we suggest you give the beginner’s class a go first!)

Accessibility

There are 10 steps down into the basement where the class takes place. Toilets are also only accessible via the stairs.

Who can attend

Anyone is welcome to join our salsa courses and drop in classes as long as you respect that this is a space for queer people to learn and enjoy salsa.
