CampFruit Events’ CAMP Cabaret, is hosted by promoter and resident drag artist Mark Ashton aka Matron.
The Sunday drag cabaret was born out of the COVID pandemic with its debut performance for CAMP Cabaret - Balham - in The Club Room at The Bedford in May 2022. Over the following four years the residency has grown in proficiency and popularity, attracting an ever-growing array of leading guest drag queen performers and followers. The format is based on a traditional cabaret-dinner-theatre concept. Think Connie and Carla (2004), “Chins up! Boobs out! It’s showtime!” – Debbie Reynolds.
In November 2026 CampFruit will be crossing the river to take its unique brand of Sunday lunchtime entertainment to The Trafalgar in SW3, launching CAMP Cabaret - Chelsea!
