Set up by community members in 2011, Glengall Wharf Garden is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and provides a space for people to attend volunteer gardening sessions, grow food and participate in a variety of workshops, ranging from permaculture and forest gardening, to window box making, Lino printing, creative writing and yoga.
Sustainability and ecological welfare are core to the garden’s philosophy and the team apply sustainable growing techniques and permaculture to develop the site as a place to build skills, community and wellbeing for all. Organic food is shared among volunteers and donated to the local food bank.
