My name is Lauren Bulla. I am a poet, writer, digital & acrylic artist based in North London. I originally moved to England in 2021 to pursue a masters degree in international human rights law.
It’s easy for us to bypass hopes of creation as it feels much of it will never lead us anywhere. I want to challenge the voice in my head telling me to stop trying - my events and artworks are a reflection of this effort, that which I hope translates into the lives of my participants.
Much of my work is inspired by life's larger questions - namely the contradiction and overlapping of "fate versus coincidence". Though this is often the baseline of many of my works, I also draw inspiration from everyday monsters, queer nightlife, interpersonal relationships, the natural world, and the liminality of our dreams.
