About London Deaf Queer Society

The London Deaf Queer Society launched in early 2023, is based in London and the South East of England. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space for the Deaf and hearing-impaired LGBTQ+ community. We meet every 3rd Friday of the month from 5pm to 8pm. Our gatherings are open to Deaf, hard of hearing, cochlear implant users, Deafblind individuals, CODA/DP, hearing signers, and BSL/SSE/ISL users.

Our goal is to break down barriers and promote awareness, inclusion, diversity, equality, and accessibility. Many hearing-impaired individuals have experienced isolation, loneliness, stigma, social exclusion, and discrimination due to communication barriers. We aim to provide support and advice to those in need, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
