A Social Gathering for lesbians, queer, and trans women, their Friends and LGBTQIA+ community. Our name is a nod to ancient Greek mythology and the nine Muses who – as a collective - represented literature, history, science, culture and the arts and were thought to have been created to inspire and uplift in times of hardship.
Our aim is to provide the LGBTQIA+ community with access to a variety of events that spark thoughtful discussion, playfulness, and curiosity. We are committed to celebrating our community within a co-created ethos of mutual respect and kindness.
We respectfully request that men (gay or cis) and straight women attend only as guests of our lesbian, queer, and trans women members and that all guests share our ethos of mutual respect and kindness. Any form of hate, discrimination, and/ or transphobia will not be tolerated at any of our events. We believe this approach supports the overall well being of our attendees and helps create an environment where everyone feels safe, celebrated, and respected. We affirm and celebrate trans and non-binary people as members of our community. We stand against transphobia in all its forms and recognise the challenges trans and non-binary people face.
