piss / CARNATION is a multi-award winning transfeminine performance art duo. Our namesake is from the German pissnelke which denotes: the otherworldly flowers which grow from piss-soaked corners of truck stops, or: contemptible women. piss / CARNATION combines radical bodily performance with poetic new writing and bizarre alternative comedy. We resist gendered expectation through blistering honesty and abject physicality. Often this all kinda gives tr*nny Pina Bausch in the sewers of femininity.
Our productions have received critical acclaim and have shown in high-profile venues including Soho Theatre, New Diorama Theatre and Camden People's Theatre.
