We’re the Queer Poetry Collective, an open community of LGBTQ+ poets and enthusiasts. We exist to elevate new and emerging queer poets, and promote the sustainability of queer literary spaces, presses and causes through fundraisers and events.
The collective was founded by poets Em Taylor and Rich Ware to connect queer voices—emerging, established and unheard—from all corners of the LGBTQ+ community. We are an equal, approachable body that unites people through their appreciation of poetry. The collective is supported by The Poetry Society and Common Press, alongside many other queer and poetic institutions.
