I'm Sophie Nadel, a designer, developer and creative technologist from London facilitating workshops to create fun and casual learning environments.
My practice combines creative technology, textiles and design research. Through workshops, exhibitions, publications and visual art, I use textile and digital techniques to make technology more tactile and accessible. I am interested in slowing technology down, revealing its processes and encouraging audiences to engage with it through making. The motivation to use textile practises to explore themes of encryption, data and AI is based in a feminist and educational framework to highlight methods historically associated with women's work.
