Sunday Assembly is a secular community that celebrates the one life we know we have by encouraging Londoners to engage with our mantra: Live Better, Help Often, Wonder More.
We practice these values with a free bi-monthly event at the Backyard Comedy Club in Bethnal Green from 11am on the first and third Sundays of each month; each event compromises of a short talk (each event has a different topic and speaker, ranging from activism to art, greek mythology to marine biology and anything inbetween!), features poetry by guest poets and invites attendees to join in a massaoke singalong to well-known hits with our live band. From there, we gather for tea and coffee before joining like-minded people for break-away events such as going for lunch, trips to art galleries, volunteering with charity or just meeting at the pub next door.
