Hello, I'm Taz, a 35-year old queer British Asian woman in south London.
I'm not an organisation, or a professional activist, and I'm not a techy person at all. I'm just someone who's up to their eyeballs in Google apps, and I'm setting up messaging groups and spaces where we can help each other move away from Google together.
Like many people, Israel's crimes against humanity make me sick, and the complicity of our governments and the biggest companies on the planet disgusts me.
Google is one of those companies. It's a company that once had the motto โdon't be evilโ, and is now a โpressure targetโ for the Boycott Divestment Sanctions movement. Google is actively helping Israel increase its capacity to wipe out Palestinians. It's firing employees who speak out against it, smearing the people publishing research about it, and covering up Israelโs crimes.
Read my letter explaining more, and join in by getting in touch or signing up to an event. All you need to be thinking of reducing your dependency on Google, even by just an app or two. You can also share the call-out with others.
This is not the only thing we can do to untangle ourselves from the genocide economy. But it's one thing.
