Born in the university art society bubble 27 years ago, honed on London's life drawing scene for over 13 years, inspired by the creative spark of each and ever person who's ever sculpted, painted, drawn, photographed or artistically installed my body over a lifetime, my beginning as a career art nude is as multi-faceted, deep and rich as the life room stage.
The Life Room is, in fact, a manifestation of the creative dialogue between two artists - the individuals on both sides of the ‘easel’. It is that special place where the adage everybody can draw and every body is beautiful is made real. It is a body-positive, empowering and inclusive space.
Based in the creative oasis of artist-photographer, curator, archivist and activist Ajamu X in Brixton, SE London, I lead fortnightly Kink and Draw life drawing experiences for public, featuring a stream of fresh, inspired modelling talent (who are often very new to the craft), offering guidance and encouraging participants to to explore their own body positivity by wearing kink, cosplay or fetish gear inimitable to them - naturists included.
