At a time when people are depending on them the most, Charities have been hit hard by the pandemic due to the inability to raise funds from companies and most people putting their spending on hold. Since late 2018, OutSavvy has made it a key feature to the platform to help raise money for LGBTQ+ Charities that focusses on the entire community, from Youth Centres to Support in Schools to Equality for all.
Making OutSavvy truly a platform with a 'by the community, for the community' spirit, we have so far raised over £20,000 from small added donations to the ticket booking process and we were proud to transfer the money raised in the first quarter of 2020 during a time when they and we as a community needed it more than ever.
All thanks to the amazing event organisers using OutSavvy for their ticketing and who are adding a non-mandatory donation box to the ticket booking process.
Even now, when booking tickets for online events, people are still donating money to their charity of choice and we encourage everyone to help wherever they can. Not only now, but also when the pandemic is over as so many of us are really depending on the great work these charities do.
