❤️🔥 Sculpture with Red Art Club ❤️🔥
Join us for our new Saturday sculpture class at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham Common.
We’ll be sculpting a mini figurine of a nude model with instruction from our sculpture instructor, Adam (he/him).
Adam is a professional artist specialising in the human form, if you would like to see Adam's work please tap here to follow him on instagram.
You’ll be taught the basics of sculpture, starting off with life drawing and building clay on a wire armature, moving onto detailing your sculpture and finishing off with smoothing your sculpture.
We also provide extensive aftercare instructions which will help you dry and preserve your sculpture in the best way possible.
✨ We host a different life model for each workshop, our life models for our Autumn 2023 workshops are ✨
Saturday 28th October - Clea (she/her) @cleamorrs
Saturday 4th November - Margie (she/her) @mnsbelle
🎨 All materials are provided. These are: 1kg clay per student, clay tools, prepped armature, wire tools, a wooden board, an A3 canvas board, paper and drawing materials.
Your finished sculpture will fit onto a wooden board that is 15cm x 15cm.
❤️🔥 Who are we? Red Art Club was founded in April 2022 by a small group of socialist artists. We create a space for absolutely anyone to explore and develop their artistic practice. Our classes are priced below the threshold of any other art class in London while still giving access to professional instructors and the best art materials. We also exclusively host our classes in arts institutions to help contribute to building the art community around London.
London is a lonely place and being an artist can be even lonelier. Red Art Club was set up to create a community that empowers each other to create beautiful art and a more beautiful, friendly, inclusive, welcoming future for society.
Follow us on instagram @redartclub_ to keep up to date with our upcoming classes, we also anticipate on starting art gallery meet ups for anyone who doesn’t have someone to go to an art gallery with.
On top of sculpture workshops we run weekly life drawing classes and monthly lino printing workshops at the Omnibus Theatre, Clapham Common as well as monthly life drawing speed dating events in partnership with the 💘 Thursday dating app 💘
🥂 There is a 10% discount at the bar for all artists in the session 🥂
