Local promoters A Press of Suspects {presents} return to Plymouth University’s Student Union to bring a fresh batch of top notch comics! Once again it’s NOT JUST FOR STUDENTS!
With a specially curated lineup and cheap as chips entry, this promises to be an absolute cracking evening! Rising star Eva Bindeman is your phenomenal headlining act…
Eva Bindeman: Eva has made it to every comedy semi final there is and absolutely no further. Failing at being middle class, middle child and mid life, this semi professional comedian has one last attempt to become a winner - putting on her own show with only one contestant. Herself. Can she at least make it to the final?A show, averagely written and performed with the air of someone who has nothing to lose (...or win)- Semi killer celebrates the frustrating joy of taking part. Expect 3 stars, ample seating and a feeling of this show being just fine.
Phil Wathern: Bristol comedian with the expert timing to have made his first steps into live comedy just weeks before the pandemic made it illegal. Expect well constructed, self-deprecating and generally dour joke-packed routines, delived with a deceptively charming and laid back stage presence, from a 2022 Stand Up For Cider new act competition runner up.
"A very skilled writer....his material was strong throughout" - Notts Comedy Review
"I absolutely love his material and stage presence. Audience warm to him immediately." - Chappers Comedy
Mason Max: A local lad done good. A man not afraid to tell you a tale or two about his unique spin on things. Say it loud and say it proud. From issues with supermarket shifts to the joys of internet dating/waxing/I.B.S…
All hosted by:
Willtordian Ballorian Edwardian: This guy moved to Plymouth 4 years ago and performed his first ever stand up set in the city. A man with a penchant for owls and a celebration of the absurd silliness of life! Expect chaos, music, prizes and owls....
Tickets are just £3.50 in advance or £5.00 on the door which is an incredible price for this line-up.
