This event will happen on 27/04/23 with doors open from 7:00pm and the show will begin at 8pm.
We have 4 professional comics lined up for you including the multi award winning Trevor Lock!
Trevor Lock: Trevor tours the world with his genre defying live comedy happenings. Before that Trevor starred in all three seasons of BAFTA nominated and British Comedy Award winning Star Stories , both seasons of BBCs TMWRNJ with Lee and Herring and the Steve Coogan produced Brain Candy. As a stand up he’s toured with Stewart Lee, Russell Brand and Paul Foot and let his spare room to James Acaster and Josh Widdecombe. He’s also addressed The Oxford Union on The Meaning of Life. He runs an ongoing mental health and creativity workshop called Reality Games and a coaching program for comedians of all levels called Joke Hospital. The Scotsman has described his work as ‘Funny, moving and clever.’ TimeOut, simply as ‘hilarious’ and culture website Spoonfed thought he could ‘probably win an award for the most laughs in a minute.’ London Is Funny wrote “He has a totally unique wellspring of material. In a different class really.” The Sunday Times wrote of the ‘superbly comic writing’ of his plays on the Edinburgh Fringe. Kate Moss simply said “He walks like Dudley Moore and he talks like Peter Cook.” Most of his recent shows are now free form improvised “events” or happenings such as Community Circle “the most fun you can have without taking your clothes off.” NOT TO BE MISSED
Jane Hill: Jane has been doing stand-up comedy since 2005, performing all around the country and reaching the finals of English Comedian of the Year in 2009. She's gigged for venues and promoters all over the UK including The Stand, Komedia, The Glee Club, Mirth Control, Funhouse, Buzz Comedy and Cosmic Comedy.
"Jane Hill demonstrates a presence and confidence on stage that rivals many established comics and has well crafted and constructed gags that are both funny and also personal, yet she also has an ability to react and interact with the audience 'off script' if required which makes her versatile too - recommended." Geoff Whiting, Mirth Control
Joe Riley: A Totnes boy! Joe Riley is like a wizard who stumbled upon a city. Armed with imaginative jokes and stories that have to be heard to be believed, he brings buckets of joy to every gig. Host of the 'it's terrific' podcast and Bristol's fantastic comedy night - Buffoon. Joe is a local favourite and a rising star. Joe has supported Ahir Shah, Drew Michael, Alison Spittal. "infectiously silly" Matt Rees
All hosted by:
Willtordian Ballorian Edwardian: Willtordian moved to Plymouth 5 years ago and performed his first ever stand up set in the city. He is now a full time professional musical comedian with a wealth of tricks up his sleeve. He has built up a local following and is picking up paid spots countrywide. He is also a man with a penchant for owls and the absurd silliness of life! Expect chaos, music, prizes and, of course, owls....
