As Wellness Professionals, we want everyone to feel safe and supported in our work, yet we know that many LGBTQIA+ people feel excluded, ignored, and uncomfortable in Wellness spaces. Or we aren't able to bring our full selves into the experience.
In this 90-minute training workshop, for people working in the wellness industry, Gabi Parkham (she/her) will share her experience and expertise as an LGBTQIA+ equity educator, consultant, and yoga teacher to help you create safer and more welcoming spaces for LGBTQIA+ people within your work.
In this thought-provoking and practical workshop you will learn:
- How to make your physical and digital environment safer for LGBTQIA+ people.
- How to bring more LGBTQIA+ people to your work through thoughtful and authentic marketing.
- The importance of consent, intersectionality, and trauma informed practice for LGBTQIA+ communities.
- Public and private acts of allyship to support the LGBTQIA+ community.
This training will be delivered using a variety of learning approaches including sharing DEI best practice, real life scenarios, discussion and participant Q&A.
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance to support their CPD.
*This course is open to Allies and LGBTQ+ people working in the wellness sector. (We particularly welcome non-LGBTQ+ attendees)
