Understudy; plural noun: understudies
(in the theatre) a person who learns another's role in order to be able to act at short notice in their absence.
We at Understudies think all queer artists deserve their place at the forefront of the scene no matter who they are, their style, talent, or abilities.
The queer performance and theatre space is very competitive and doesn’t always make space for upcoming, alternative or BIPOC performers.
Understudies creates a supportive and uplifting environment for anyone to come and show their talents and get their foot on to a stage whilst being paid.
