WELCOME BACK TO THE STAGE….QUEER AS JOKE!
Birmingham's original LGBTQIA+ Stand Up Comedy night is back and ready to make you giggle.
Showcasing queer comedy from across the UK!
As always - you'll be joined by your showrunners;
🍆 Cycki Brokat - Birmingham's absurdist drag queen, pretty face, scary mind.
🥰 Ciara - Queen of the Cocky-T
🐻 Gareth Williams - BBC New Comedy Awards Shortlist.
FEATURING:
Rachel Baker
In a recent poll 84% of people said Rachel Baker looked like the Megabus man. Unlike the Megabus man though Rachel is a fresh talent on the Birmingham Comedy Circuit. Sometimes a character comedian sometimes chatting about being a silly billy, she is guaranteed to make you chuckle.
FINALIST - Funny Women Awards 2023
NOMINEE - Birmingham Breaking Talent Award 2023
T.S. Idiot
From the dark and sweaty corners of the UK punk and cabaret scene comes T.S. IDIOT – part punk poet, part stand up, all idiot. Sitting somewhere between a disgraced CBBC presenter and a punk front-man without a band, T.S. IDIOT has been entertaining and confusing crowds since 2013. Previously seen (and heard) at Belly Laughs, Sofar Sounds, White Bear Comedy Club and BBC Arts.
"A SPOKEN WORD PHENOMENA" - Voice Magazine
"RAMBUNCTIOUS AND MOVING" - Milk Poetry
"IN VERY POOR TASTE" - Devon County Council
PC Pope
PC Pope is a transient guy laughing in the face of binaries across the political spectrum. Midlands-born but now based in Brighton to complete their transition into a queer soy-boy stereotype.
Mary Cross
Mary Cross is the comedic whirlwind you didn't know you needed. With her own unique brand of frantic and hilarious energy, this delightful comedian, writer, and podcaster takes the stage by storm. As possibly the world's angriest Buddhist, she fearlessly uncovers the humour in life's rollercoaster ride, leaving audiences on a euphoric high. And while her mum may forever yearn for a doctor, Mary has found her therapy in comedy.
Described as “confident, charismatic and charming on stage with a real infectious sense of humour and a warm wit that really makes you all feel in on the jokes” (@blizzardcomedy)
