In an effort to make the Yuletide as gay as possible, the Common Press are delighted to welcome authors Lizzie Huxley-Jones and Talia Samuels as we celebrate the release of their dazzling new festive romance novels.
This event will be hosted by the fabulous Lily Lindon.
About the authors:
Lizzie Huxley-Jones
Lizzie Huxley-Jones (they/them) is an autistic author and editor based in London. They are the author of the queer holiday rom-com Make You Mine This Christmas, the summery rom-com Hits Different co-written with Tasha Ghouri, and the middle grade fantasy series Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend. They are the editor of Stim: an autistic anthology. They write joyful stories that centre queerness and disability, and can be found @littlehux on Twitter & Instagram.
Make you Mine this Christmas:
After the year from hell, Haf is ready to blow off steam at a Christmas party. A no-strings-attached kiss with a stranger under the mistletoe is just what she needs. But by the next day, rumours have spread.
Everyone believes she and Christopher are madly in love and spending the festive season with his family in the English countryside. To save her new friend from embarrassment - and with no better plans of her own - Haf agrees to go along with the ruse. Until she meets Kit: Christopher's mysterious, magnetic and utterly irresistible sister.
She can't possibly fall for her fake boyfriend's sister this Christmas . . .can she?
Talia Samuels
Talia Samuels is an ex-chef, now-student, and future-librarian. (In past, present, and careers yet-to-come, writing remains a constant). Talia loves eating vegan food, laughing at her own jokes, and giving queer characters happy endings.
The Christmas Swap:
It's the perfect Christmas love story. Margot Murray is a newly single, high-flying businesswoman with no interest in a cutesy seasonal romance. Ben Gibson is an unlucky-in-love sweetheart in need of a woman to bring home for the holidays.
Together, they make a pact: Margot gets a blissful week away from London in a picture-perfect manor, in exchange for posing as Ben's girlfriend. The story can only go one way. Margot is sure to fall in love for real.
And she does. With Ben's sister, Ellie. What could possibly go wrong?
