This online INSCRIBE offering is a safe, friendly, informative, and practical workshop that aims to help you get your poetry out there and seen. It will help you identify the right journals for your poetry; ‘seasons’ of calls for submissions; where to find them; dealing with Submittable; meeting submissions criteria; keeping track of multiple submission's and more.
Full of lived experience and a systematic approach to making submissions Mervyn Seivwright will help you get started and up your rate of submissions to magazines, journals, and anthologies - and consequently your rate of acceptance! Mervyn’s work appears in over 70 journals across 12 countries, he’s ideally placed to guide you in getting published.

Mervyn Seivwright writes to balance social consciousness & poetry craft for humane growth. He is a nomad from a Jamaican family, born in London, England, he left for the USA aged 10, and now resides in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He is a Spalding University MFA Graduate & has appeared in AGNI, American Journal of Poetry, Salamander Magazine, African American Review, & 71 other journals across 12 countries, receiving recognition as the 2024 Marvin E Williams Literary Prize winner, and as a 2021/2023 Pushcart Nominee. His latest collection Stick, Hook, and a Pile of Yarn,” is published by Broken Sleep Books.
