A modern take on the idea of the French salon - designed to "entertain & educate"
The Salon de Ballon is a participatory event where everyone is encouraged to bring something related to the theme, to share over the course of the evening. This does not have to be performative (though it can be), it could be a reading, an anecdote, a joke, a dance, an idea, a foodstuff - whatever you like (max five mins).
