In this Sex Education workshop for adults Kai Helmich offers his unique insights into how to have a healthy and happy relationship to ourselves, our sex life and relationships. Discover how sex can be an experience of deep connection and meaning that leaves you feeling nourished and content.

Find a new way to connect to your self and feel a sense of fulfilment from within so that you meet others from a place of feeling fully present in your body and able to connect to others. Shift dysfunctional patterns of dissociating or rushing into sexual experiences without being able to be fully present. Learn how to love yourself.

Sexual energy is creative energy but too often it has become blocked by shame and guilt. This weekend offers a transformational and for some life changing opportunity to step into a new relationship to yourself. You may be somone who finds it hard to open to your sexual desire, feeling disociated and cut off form your body. The workshop will offer ways to help you find a new and nurturing connection with your body and sesual energy. Or you may, in Kai's words be someone who has "their foot fully on the accelerator". For you sex is easy, you can loose yourself in it and fully enjoy it, but it may start to feel that it is compulsive behaviour, that sex is driving you rather than you choosing to have sex. Somewhere between the extremes of fearful avoidance of sexual energy and compulsive pursuits of sexual encounters lies an experience of happy embodiment, shame free sensuality and nourishing contact. A place where you can feel embodied rather than dissociate, where you feel safe and where you can open to bliss.

By the end of the workshop you'll:

• have a greater understanding of mindful self-pleasuring
• know how to improve your own capacity for embodiment
• know how to feel more: more ecstatic states, more sensations, more pleasure, more joy and deeper orgasms
• know how to rest into your own independence rather than codependence on another to give you pleasure
• have a strong sense of your own boundaries, consent and limitations and will be able to communicate them when required
• be able to start, deepen and accelerate your spiritual journey: in mind, body and spirit.

This is not a masturbation workshop. Masturbation is often about getting as quickly as possible to a climax. Or it is associated with guilt as we may watch porn to get aroused or feel it is somehow not healthy. Instead this is about learning how to rest into your body and enjoy the sensations without needing to get to any fixed end or objective or have any external stimuli to arouse us. In that sense it is a workshop on 'being' rather than 'doing' where you connect deeply to your sexual energy from within and perhaps even feel this energy to be a universal force.

There is an option to do Saturday only or the two days. At the end of the Saturday workshop you'll have the option to book on to continue on the Sunday.

Cost for Saturday: £160, with the option to pay £100 at the end of the day to continue onto Sunday

Cost for Saturday and Sunday: £260

Concessions available on request.

We work with ourselves in this workshop so there is no pair work, finding pleasure from within rather than looking for an external source.

The reason for using sexual pleasuring is because as we become sexual it is the quickest way to connect with our shame and explore our sexual wounds, emotional wounds, and false beliefs about ourselves and how we operate in the world. It is not about performing or getting it right or looking impressive as you self-pleasure but of learning from what occurs as you enter this dynamic space of Eros

WILL I HAVE TO BE NAKED?

In day 1 we stay clothed throughout and explore what blocks us from being able to be fully present in our bliss.

Day 2 includes an undressing ritual and time for self pleasuring - dressed or naked as you lie in the 'nest' you have created for your self - with blankets, pillows, duvet and any toys you wish to bring. There will be other exercises to help remove shame and step full into our sexual energy and the spiritual dimension so mind, body and sprit can all connect rahter than be in opposition.
