Want to see inside the Archbishop of Canterbury's house? 
On Friday, July 25, the historic Lambeth Palace will be opening its doors for a special family-friendly HOPE (Heritage Open Palace Experience) Day to mark a special opening of Lambeth Palace to the public in support of South East London Mind.
This year, to celebrate 10 years of opening the gardens for fundraising, Lambeth Palace are inviting visitors inside the working Palace itself—a place of faith, hospitality, and service for over 800 years.
This HOPE day marks an exciting first event of its kind during the school break. It promises a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating home of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
For just £10 per adult (with a fee when booked via Outsavvy, children under 12 and carers enter for free), visitors of all ages can enjoy a day of discovery and fun, with all ticket proceeds directly benefiting the work of South East London Mind. Explore some of the Palace’s most historic and significant spaces, including:
- The State Rooms – where generations of Archbishops have welcomed guests.
- The Guard Room – a stunning historical hall dating back to the 14th century.
- The Great Hall – built in 1663 by Archbishop William Juxon.
- The Crypt Chapel – a sacred space for reflection.
But that’s not all! To make this a truly memorable summer holiday outing, the event will also feature fun activities for the whole family, including and engaging activities for children as you explore the Palace.
Tickets will be available in 15-minute entry slots from 12pm until 4pm. Last admission is 3pm.
