Full details:
Join us for a relaxed day out hosted by Aislinn and Charlotte from the Holnicote Estate (National Trust) at the stunning Horner Wood nature reserve.
The day will include an accessible tour of woodland with stunning views over the temperate rainforest and coast; a workshop with local artist and photographer Elizabeth Woodger, complimentary tea and delicious locally-made cake, and opportunities to participate in citizen science activities around freshwater as part of the Big River Watch.
About temperate rainforest:
Temperate rainforest is a unique habitat and ecosystem that's home to extraordinary mosses, lichens and rare species of insects, birds and mammals. Horner Wood is the world's only known home to a rare lichen community.
About the workshop:
Elizabeth will lead a fun eco-photography workshop about botanical sun printing. Arrange plants and natural objects onto light sensitive paper and expose them to sunlight to create beautiful and unique nature prints.
