Hey stompers!
Dykeing Boots (@dykeingboots) is a community of queer people and allies based in Brighton and Hove. For our final stomp of Summer 2025 (squeezing it in just in time for Autumn Equinox) we will be revisiting one of our FAVOURITE walks from Summer 2024 - a stomp over the Seven Sisters from Seaford to Eastbourne!
Key Info:
We will be meeting on Sunday 21st September 2025 at Brighton Station (exact timings / meeting point will be shared with stompers in the week before the walk) and start our walk from Seaford Station at 9.30am. We will end in Eastbourne and travel back to Brighton by train.
Last year Amelia called this one a “serious stomp for serious dykes” (possibly underestimating our capacity for silliness there!!) but this definitely is a BIG' OL STOMP with lots of ups & downs, so please only book a ticket for this walk if you think you could comfortably walk the route at a reasonable pace.
- DISTANCE : 22km
- ASCENT : 300m
- DURATION : 5-6 hours
- PACE : moderate+, a good level of physicality required
- TERRAIN : mostly uneven, natural, unpaved pathways which may include mud, puddles & all that good outdoorsy stuff.
General Info:
All are welcome on our walks and we do not tolerate any transphobia, racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism or any similar shite
🍁 There will be a couple of breaks planned into this walk - please bring a proper packed lunch for this one! Also lots of snacks & water.
🥾 As always, we cannot predict the British weather - please ensure you have appropriate and comfortable footwear and clothing for the stomp. The cliffs can be quite exposed to wind so layers are a must!
🐕 We cannot stress enough how much dogs ARE SO WELCOME however will note that this stomp takes place close to cliff edges so please do keep dogs on leads.
🎫 We operate on a pay what you feel basis. Please know your ticket is valid whatever you pay, including if you get a free ticket. If you can pay, the suggested donation is £3 - all of this money goes back into the running of Dykeing Boots and towards our travel support fund.
🚨If you need any support paying for your travel to and from the walk please message your bank details to Amelia (in the Whatsapp Group) or email dykeingboots@gmail.com and we will send you enough to cover it, no questions asked🚨
