Toilets may be among the smallest architectures we pass through, but their mirrors and signs carry powerful messages about who belongs.

In this session we will explore and discuss Queercircle's bathroom stalls. We will respond to the existing design through discussion, sketching and co-creation of a new bathroom mirror reflecting our learning and experience.

What to expect:

Warm-up discussion: exploring toilets as spaces of belonging, exclusion, and everyday architecture.
Provocations: short readings, poetry, and resources about toilets and toilet spaces to spark thought and conversation.
Exploring: time to reflect on Queercircle's existing bathrooms.
Design play: sketching ideas and experimenting with stickers, markers, and other low-fi tools.
Prototyping together: transforming an ordinary mirror into a shared artwork.
Reflection: discussing how the mirror might travel between loos, sparking new encounters and conversations.

No experience in art or architecture is needed—just bring curiosity, care, and a willingness to think and feel space together.
This session is ideal for anyone who is interested in space, belonging or just wants a space to share their exprience.

Note: Discussions around toilet spaces may bring up challenging or negative experiences, particularly for trans and gender-diverse participants. We will approach these conversations with care and invite everyone to engage at their own comfort level. There will be a quiet space to take a break in away from the group.

Minor acts is a 6-month working group for queer and trans people reclaiming space through embodied unlearning, shared practice, and subtle disruption.
