✨ What you’ll learn in Waacking Foundation Workshop Part 2 with Myss Tru ✨
- You don't have to have done Part 1 to get involved
- No previous experience of Waacking necessary
- Get into the dance history, not just the steps. To ensure that every action you take has purpose and that everyone is on the same page, we will go over the origins of Punking and Waacking, as well as its history, culture, and emotional truth.
- Technique with confidence and musicality. We will break down the foundations clearly (from poses to arms to musicality) so you can feel grounded and empowered in your body. In this instance, we will study lines and dynamics that we can apply to the music and the stage. Express yourself with intention and storytelling. For confidence training, we will structure freestyle rounds and practice presence and owning your space as a movement artist, where we will develop active listening skills.
- Connect your movement to your personal voice and story. Prompts and exercises to support this expressive connection. This isn’t just about looking good…it’s about feeling free and safe in your body.
This workshop is open to everyone, especially welcoming those new to Waacking.
In acknowledgement of the people who founded this style, Queer, Trans, Intersex People of Colour (QTIPOC) are offered Pay What You Can tickets.
Low/No Income tickets are also available. If you want to come and don't have the funds please get in touch.

If we see this behaviour we will have a chat with you and you will be asked to leave if this behaviour continues. At the same time, we recognise that people make mistakes, our goal is to support learning and growth, not to shut people down. Everyone is expected to treat one another with respect and openness.
Any questions please get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor!
