✊🏾🖤 Rage, Rest, and Recharge in the Face of Fascism
F@scism is on the rise — and for so many of us, the last few months have been especially heavy, exhausting, and enraging.
From the far-right rally’s to the violent rhetoric that’s flooded our streets and timelines, it’s been a lot. The rise of fascism doesn’t exist in isolation — we’re also witnessing multiple gen0c!des across the world, many of which directly impact our friends, families, and communities.
Add to that the growing tide of tr@nsph0b!a, and the ongoing weight of colonialism, which ensures that QTIBPOC people often bear the hardest blows — and it’s no wonder so many of us are running on empty.
Now, more than ever, we need spaces to come together, speak our truths, and skill share on ways to let out rage, ways to rest, ways to recharge and ways to organise which is why we're putting on our 4th of our Rage, Rest and Recharge series and we're collabing with our friends Tribe for this one.
Join Dope Black Queers and Tribe for our next community discussion forum:
💭 Rage, Rest, and Recharge in the Face of Fascism.
This gathering is by and for Black LGBTQIA+ folk, and will be held in a town hall–style circle discussion where we’ll explore questions together like:
— How do we express our rage when we’re constantly told to be silent?
— What does radical rest look like in the face of oppression?
— How do we recharge, rebuild, and resist — together?
There’ll be gentle breathing and grounding exercises, snacks, and space to share, listen, cry, laugh, and connect. No pressure to speak — all emotions, energies, and forms of participation are welcome.
