Do you live or work around Old Kent Road?
Do you have ideas about how the neighbourhood could thrive?
Join the Talking Circle, an inclusive space where local people can talk about how they want to contribute to the neighbourhood.
All welcome!
This community-led event will take place at the Old Kent Road: A Neighbourhood Portrait exhibition at The Bottle Factory. We're aiming to create a space for local communities to get together and reflect on the themes of the exhibition through conversation and creative activities. It’s also a chance to share ideas, spark new connections and get involved in local action.
The event will include:
- Talking Circle
A guided, group conversation where we can reflect on the themes of the exhibition, share idea and exchange knowledge. Hosted by Valeria Salinas Toro and Jordan Minga.
- Storytelling
We’ll have 4 x 5min talks from inspirational local people who are involved in a variety of social/ecological justice projects.
- Mapping the Neighbourhood
A mapping area where you can make a profile for yourself and add it to a map of the Old Kent Road area.
- Plus other creative activities related to the exhibition.
This event is organised and hosted by:
Valeria Salinas Toro (artist/facilitator, Decolonised Networking)
