As a group of organisers from across Southwark, representing a diversity of backgrounds, we’re convening a meeting to discuss a strategy for Your Party. One of the founding documents of the new party will be a strategy document, so ahead of regional assemblies and the founding convention, we’re bringing people together to discuss what strategic focus the new party should have.
Join us on 20 October to talk through the key questions facing the party in this early period. Together, we’ll discuss the role of elections and local organising in national strategy, and how we build grassroots power in our communities. Then, we’ll begin to map out what our priorities should be in Southwark over the coming months and years.
This meeting will not have a few people on stage speaking while everyone else listens. Instead we will discuss these key questions in small groups and the as a whole room. We want to build familiarity and trust across everyone who wants to fight for a better life in Southwark and beyond.
Ahead of the south London regional assembly and the founding convention, we need a clear idea of what we want this new party to be. How do we build the capacity to fight – not just at the ballot box but in workplaces, the places we live, and the street?
We’ll provide food, non-alcoholic drinks and a structure for the discussion. Please bring your ideas, your solidarity, and your commitment to work together in the face of a growing far-right, a collapsing welfare state, and over two years of genocide.
This event page is being hosted by rs21's Outsavvy account, but the group convening this meeting is made up of people from a variety of organisations, not just rs21.
