This short film screening event aims to bring together trade union members, activists and other interested parties to begin understanding what more we can do to offer solidarity and support for refugees in Palestine.
The event will include a screening of two short films, hosted remotely by BADIL: Resource Centre for Palestinian Residency & Refugee Rights. We will feature the premiere of BADIL’s new film ‘A Glimpse of Tulkarm Refugee Camp: Depopulated and Destroyed’, which covers the devastating results of Operation Iron Wall in the West Bank, and a second film ‘Cessation of UNRWA: Elimination of Refugees’ Rights’, covering Israel’s ban of the United Nations agency.
The screening will be followed by a short Q&A with BADIL and then a panel discussion with local activists to better understand the steps we can be taking to show our support for our displaced Palestinian siblings.
All proceeds from the event will be forwarded to BADIL.
