How the Evening Works
Join our friendly hosts from 5:00pm, with speed dating starting at 5:30pm sharp.
Once the ice is broken, you’re warmly invited to continue the fun at our after-party at Katie’s Bar, where conversations can flow more freely and connections can deepen.
Unlike “traditional” speed dating, our events guide you through relaxed topic areas. We know it can sometimes feel awkward figuring out what to say — and most of us don’t want to spend the night talking about work.
Instead, you might chat about:

✨ Whether you’re polyamorous, monogamous, or still figuring it out

We take the pressure off — so you can relax, be yourself, and actually enjoy getting to know people.

Las Iguanas also serve amazing Mexican food, so if you fancy continuing the evening and getting to know your new mates or dates a little better, some of us will stay on for food before heading over to Katie’s.

- Las Iguanas is a fully accessible venue. There are disabled parking spaces outside and a ground floor toilet.
- Las Iguanas is a great, city centre location. From Central and Queens St station, it is a 5 minute walk.
- We are also just a 7-8 minute walk from Merchant City, so ideal for us to toddle round the corner to Katies for our after party.
