We are returning to Burrito Buoy for the second edition of LOST SIGNAL CINEMA CLUB, with a screening of TETSUO: THE IRON MAN.
After an accidental hit-and-run that kills a man known as “the metal fetishist”, a salaryman begins to undergo a nightmarishly metallic metamorphosis in Shinya Tsukamoto's hyper-frenetic debut feature film, Tetsuo: The Iron Man.
A highly-influential and experimental tour-de-force, the film fuses industrial cyberpunk and body horror imagery together, setting it to a noisy pulsating soundtrack. Tetsuo is a true classic of underground cinema which proved Tsukamoto to be one of the most exciting and rebellious cinematic minds to emerge from Japan.
