“Bound by Blood/Water” is a collaborative publication with 10 Asian artists discussing the concept of female familial guilt and default obligation within Asian filial culture—the liminal space separating the individuality of an AFAB from the collectivism of a daughter, mother or sister. This book focuses on how love is never linear, nor sacrificial, but circular; the ambiguity of birth and chosen family.Besides the book launch, the event includes an in-and-out crafting workshop. We want to invite you to sculpt or collage your comfort food from home to create a sense of comfort.
