Word-Benders Poetry Workshop
Join Sufiyan for a Word-Benders poetry workshop! Queerness and Islam are often understood to be at odds with one another. But the Sufi tradition of love and worship offers us a different perspective. Queer Muslims throughout history have found solace in the poetry of the Sufis. Join us to explore our queer identities through Sufi poetry, and explore the Sufi ethos of love through a queer lens. All welcome!
